Merranti Breakfast Club Overview | 15th November 2017
The Merranti Breakfast Club on 15th November 2017 aimed to bring local people and businesses together for a free casual networking morning.
November’s event was an Introduction to Google AdWords and a GDPR seminar, that aimed to provide key information in how to move forward in promoting your business on the world’s largest search engine, and how you can make sure your business is compliant with the new GDPR rules that are coming in May 2018.
Sarah Lyons, Senior Marketing Executive at Creative Pod, presented a great talk on the essentials of Google AdWords and Google Pay Per Click. She highlighted and corrected some of the myths surrounding Google AdWords. Within the presentation, Sarah left no doubt in how advertising on Google can be a massive benefit to your business, however, she also explained that without the prior research on what your target audience search, it can leave your business no better off than before.
Creative Pod are a creative marketing agency based in the Manor Royal Business Estate in the heart of the Gatwick Diamond. They were established in 2006 and have grown into an award-winning creative agency.
Lisa Downs, Managing Director at LJD Law, held a fantastic seminar on GDPR that engaged the whole audience into a conversation about the concerns people have about the new data protection laws. Lisa explained how businesses can protect themselves from breaching the rules surrounding data protection, and stated the risks that a company could place themselves if they ignore these changes.
